Not the biggest fan of Astrum Aureus fight, but I can fight it all day to listen to it's theme. I fight bosses multiple times just to listen to the music more. I love every single theme more than any of the original Terraria. The best thing is, after you get bored of expert mode version of these bosses, there is still revengeance, death mode and even malice mode AI's you can try out, I'm doing my first death mode playthrough currently and it's much harder than revengeance, but I love it, currently at Moonlord (and trying so hard with Cataclyst's Astrageldon) Ofc can be cheesed with platforms but you can also cheese vanilla bosses so I don't find this a negativum to the mod I cant think of any Calamity boss I would say is really bad, even Desert scourge, which gets alot of hate, it's a simple worm boss which is meant to be quite easy since its a pre-EoC boss, but even it doesnt act like a normal worm boss, it does weird angles above you, trying to predict how you want to dodge it, summons the baby scourges, shoots at you and is huge overall. People mock the boss AI's alot in this mod. I didnt find Thorium interesting at all, but Spirit mod was pretty cool, still couldnt finish my playthrough When I first completed the mod, I tried out Thorium and Spirit mod. They are powerful and unique, I love to feel powerful. My hotbar is full with Calamity mod weapons. I can spend like 40 hours just in prehardmode, grinding the new bosses, building custom houses for NPCS (I dont like NPC boxes ppl seem to use alot here), try out new weapons and even decieding which class should I go with. Not just hardmode or post moonlord, in prehardmode too. Calamity just adds ridiculous amount of new items and stuff to do in the game overall. pretty bad, but it reminded me of the original Avalon mod ALOT so I kept it in my modpack with Thorium and Tremor(lol). With 1.3, calamity came out for the first time in around 2016. 2 hours longer? Athrough I loved expert mode and the new musics. 1.2 didnt really have interesting mods so I put Terraria aside until 1.3 came out, which I found pretty bad tbh, the last boss was super easy for me and didnt find it challenging at all, could continues my older save for like. 1.2 came out and it meant the original Avalon is gone, came Plantera, Golem, Duke fishron and a ridiculous amount of content for both prehardmode and hardmode. After the long absence of updates with 1.1.2, I found Avalon mod, which was a super fun addition to expand Terraria on, it added shitton of prehardmode, hardmode items and even post-hardmode (superhardmode or what was it called). I started playing in 2011 just before 1.1 came out. Was probably a discussion alot of times but I only found either outdated or just genuinly not true facts about the mod.
